Jason Cassese is currently employed by a non-profit organization. Since 2017, he has served as a clinical social worker at Middlesex Health in Middletown, CT where he has provided children, families, and adults with outpatient therapeutic services. Most recently he has served as manager of outpatient mental health services and coordinator of integrated healthcare at Middlesex Health. He specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and strained family dynamics. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct professor of social work at the University of Saint Joseph in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Jason previously worked with St. Luke's Community Services in Middletown, CT, a local non-profit organization serving Middlesex County senior adults and veterans experiencing various mental, behavioral, and physical health concerns. While at St. Luke's Jason served as an MSW student intern, GOTCare! Program coordinator, and benefits enrollment coordinator where he provided comprehensive case management services to clients, grant writing support, and helped organize several statewide educational conferences focused on geriatric and veteran mental health care. Jason is also an active volunteer in the Middlesex County community. In addition to being a founding board member of Caritas Immigration Legal Services, Jason served on the board of directors of St. Luke’s Community Services from 2018-2023 and is currently the chairperson of the Community Foundation of Middlesex County's St. Luke's Home Fund Advisory Committee. Jason holds a BA in Sociology from St. John’s University (2003, magna cum laude), an MA in History from Southern Connecticut State University (2014), and an MSW from the University of Saint Joseph (2017).
