Administrative Assistant

Caritas Immigration Legal Services is looking for a temporary, part-time office assistant to help with the day-to-day administrative operations of the organization.


We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of immigrant women and children.  The position requires some client interaction.  Spanish language is a plus, but not required.


Caritas has a professional yet friendly office environment.


The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and be able take on a variety of office support tasks and administrative support functions.  These include communicating with clients and community outreach, event support, scheduling appointments, scanning and filing, and monitoring key statistical metrics.  The position requires attention to detail and flexibility.  Basic computer skills are necessary, including familiarity with Microsoft Word.


Potential for position to be extended to permanent employment.


Requirements

  • Some office experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Able to maintain client confidentiality
  • High School diploma or higher
  • Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
  • Work Location: Middletown, CT 06457 with possibility for hybrid arrangement
  • Hours: fixed based on mutual agreement
  • Compensation depends upon experience
