Sara Stall-Ryan is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and earned her M.Div. in 2000 from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. She was ordained in 2000 and served as Associate Pastor for several years in West Allis, WI. Married to a Navy chaplain, life took her away from traditional congregational ministry but she found herself involved in various other pursuits such as working with the Marine Corps Key Volunteer Network, teaching a preschool dance class, serving as a volunteer with her school’s Alumnae Association, and volunteering in her children’s classrooms. She returned to ministry in 2019 when she was called to be Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Portland, CT. Sara has also served as Co-Dean of her denominational conference and Chair of the Interfaith Council of Portland. In her spare time, Sara enjoys baking, hiking, and snuggling her dog, Earl.
